DIVINE DEVOTION- Faith can move mountains

I was in the book of John recently reading about all of the miracles that Jesus performed. In this chapter, we see Jesus turn water into wine, heal a nobleman’s son, heal a lame man, feed 5,000, walk on water, heal the blind man, and raise Lazarus from the dead. As I was reading, I noticed how in almost every miracle there were witnesses who still did not believe. While sitting there, I thought to myself, “How could you see these miracles with your own eyes and still be unsure”? I realized though that this same thing is still happening for people today. God performs miracles upon miracles every single day and yet there are still so many who refuse to believe or acknowledge the wonders of His love. For those searching for a miracle in order to believe, you don’t have to look very far. The miraculous beauty of God is seen everywhere you turn. In your life, your family, the trees, the sky and everything else there is the miraculous beauty of our Lord and Saviour. Later on in the chapter we see the importance of our faith and belief. In John 20:29, Jesus says the following to Thomas, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.” Our faith and belief in Christ is everything and through it there is nothing that is impossible. In Matthew 17:20, the importance of faith even in the smallest forms is seen with the following statement from Jesus, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." As we head into this new year, I encourage each and everyone to let your faith in Christ shine brightly throughout your life! Let your faith guide you and motivate you to do amazing things that bring honor and glory to the Kingdom. God has so many amazing things in store for each of you and sometimes all it takes is a little faith to truly tap into everything amazing that he has created you for! Praying for each and everyone of you! Have a blessed day 🙌🏼
