Most of the people in the world are completely ignorant of man's true purpose. They are caught up in the cycles of life and will continue to be until they awake. They will even scoff at the idea of attaining Enlightenment/Christ Consciousness while on earth. However, that is our purpose and if we ever hope to achieve reaching "Heaven", we must do so.
You have all probably existed on this planet for hundreds of lifetimes and deep within you are tired of the same old same old. Life and death, misery mixed with glimpses of elusive happiness. However this happiness is always short lived and transient, relying on life to provide it for you. Life on Earth will never bring you to any semblance of lasting peace and happiness. Life is only for realizing what you are missing, so that you can begin your journey home again.
It is a difficult road of which I speak due to the build up of Karma and the hardest obstacle of all - the Ego. The Ego is the Anti-Christ for it fights for survival always. Its beliefs are based in dualism so it is limited to relativity and time. The Ego's biggest fear is annihilation. You need not annihilate but gain control over it. This can only be achieved by calling on the Christ self within you, for alone you cannot do it.
It is impossible for an ego to annihilate itself. Most often the fact of wanting to overcome the ego is ego based. Hand your life over to God and forget the ego. Concentrate on love and the ego will dissipate of it's own accord.
The Source longs for you to seek as He longs to respond. When this happens your mind will expand to new horizons. Your heart will almost break with love for all. Life takes on a new meaning. You will be willing to place your trust in your inner self - your Christ Self.
I am not saying it is easy for it is not. It definitely is the road less travelled with many pot holes and dangers, but with constant prayer to the Light within, it can be done.
Do not stay trapped in this world of illusion and sorrow. The only way out is through the Light and Oneness.
Do not close your minds, but be open to your calling to Enlightenment.
